My name is Nahla Green-Walker. I am
currently a senior at Southfield High Arts & Technology. I am sixteen years old and my birthday is November 13th. I currently reside in Farmington, MI which is about 20 minutes away from Detroit. I enjoy doing hair on myself as well as on others. This summer I worked at a hair salon in my very OWN booth! I also like going to different restaurants around my area with my boyfriend. We love to try new foods and experience new places to eat. I can say that my life has drastically changed since I’ve met my boyfriend. He’s all in all my best friend. He pushes me to keep going and motivates me through everything I do in my life. My goal for the end of this school year is to get my own salon suite in the Southfield area. Hair is my passion and it’s something that I would love to pursue after high school. You could say that I’m a “young entrepreneur”. Throughout this past year I’ve worked hard to make a name for myself in the hair industry. Making women feel beautiful is a mission for me and I will not stop until I’m satisfied. I’ve suffered with body dysmorphic disorder though out the last few years of my life. I know what it feels like to wake up and hate the person you’re looking at. For most of my life I’ve tend to avoid looking in the mirror due to how dissatisfied I can be. I’ve come to a point in my life where I don’t want to feel like that anymore. My hair is my power and the feeling I get when my hair is done is indescribable. I want to pursue cosmetology because I want to make people feel good when they look in the mirror. I strive to make my clients feel like they are beautiful. I’m new to blogging but I can already tell that I will enjoy it. I hope that my post can have an affect on someone out there. My life is full of chaos at times and I’ve realized these past few months that writing helps. I enjoy writing about my life, it’s therapeutic. Nonetheless, welcome to my blog.
